Our Scholarships
Beacon of Light Foundation™ Scholarship
Each Spring, local high schools are encouraged to promote the Beacon of Light Foundation™ scholarship opportunity to their senior class. Applications open on March 1. The deadline for this application is May 1.
Eligibility:
- Female
- High school senior
- Reside in Los Angeles County
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Copy of SAT or ACT scores
- Two (2) letters of recommendations
- Official acceptance letter from accredited 4-year college or university
Erika D. Jackson Memorial Scholarship
Erika D. Jackson (1970-2015) earned her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and earned her law degree from the University of San Diego. She was a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice and a Life Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. The women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Theta Epsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter desired to fund a scholarship in honor of Soror Erika D. Jackson who served her community tirelessly. The deadline for this scholarship application is December 15th.

- Member of an underrepresented group
- Reside in Los Angeles County
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university
- Two (2) letters of recommendations
- Current resume
